It was requested that an emergency be made on repair of the foot
bridge west of the R. R. between 11 and 17 tee. Mr. Bradford
presented a drawing of the bridge repair with an estimated cost of
$6, 000. The Council unanimously agreed to go ahead with the work
at a cost not to exceed $7, 000. 00.
Mayor McIntosh stated that this meeting had been called for the
purpose of reviewing the Country Club finances as of November 30th,
which indicate that we are operating at a cash deficit.
Mr. Condit read a list of ways of increasing revenue which included
opening membership to businessmen in the Village, non-residents and
corporation memberships.
In discussing transfer of money from the general fund Mr. Lund stated
that he felt that maintenance of the club could be done if it weren't for
the dining room and bar. Other suggestions were made for assessing
members, maintaining a minimum monthly charge and refinancing the
Country Club debts.
In regard to repair of the foot bridge over the canal the Council agreed
to allow Mr. Claussen to supervise the work, without a contractor.
