12-09-1975 Work Session 12/9/75 COUNCIL WORK SESSION Tuesday, December 9, 1975 5:00 p. m. at the Village Hall In attendance: Mayor McIntosh, Councilmen Davis, Condit, Claussen, and McLeod Village Attorney Village Manager Also present: Bill Bradford, Jim Glaid, Al Bryant and Morris Moranetz Mr. Peace reported that the P. B. A. had accepted the Police labor contract. decision It was requested that an emergency be made on repair of the foot bridge west of the R. R. between 11 and 17 tee. Mr. Bradford presented a drawing of the bridge repair with an estimated cost of $6, 000. The Council unanimously agreed to go ahead with the work at a cost not to exceed $7, 000. 00. Mayor McIntosh stated that this meeting had been called for the purpose of reviewing the Country Club finances as of November 30th, which indicate that we are operating at a cash deficit. Mr. Condit read a list of ways of increasing revenue which included opening membership to businessmen in the Village, non-residents and corporation memberships. In discussing transfer of money from the general fund Mr. Lund stated that he felt that maintenance of the club could be done if it weren't for the dining room and bar. Other suggestions were made for assessing members, maintaining a minimum monthly charge and refinancing the Country Club debts. In regard to repair of the foot bridge over the canal the Council agreed to allow Mr. Claussen to supervise the work, without a contractor. The following names were received for a Country Club Advisory Board: (1) Carol Walker, (2) John W. Cooney, (3) Bob Blue, (4) Mel Roberts, (5) George Swanson, (6) Hal Webber, (7) Earl Barber (later withdrawn), (8) Seals Oxford, (9) Monty Atwater, (10) John Bergacker, (11) Joe Gionfriddo. It was requested that these people be asked if they are willing to serve and fill out a Financial Disclosure form. The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p. m. Village Clerk
