Tuesday, November 25, 1975
7:30 p. m. at the Village Hall
In attendance: Mayor McIntosh, Councilmen Claussen, Condit, Davis
and McLeod
Village Attorney
Village Manager
Club Manager and approx. 20 Villagers
The meeting was opened by Mayor McIntosh who announced that this meeting
was a follow up to one we previously had on Country Club business, and
read the following agenda:
(1) Decide on whether or not we are in favor of establishing
an advisory board structure or board of governors, with
consideration to number on the Board and how appointed; and
Draft an ordinance setting out duties of this board.
(2) Define membership classifications, fees, cards, etc.
(3) Have advisory board set up by-law revisions for vote of
entire membership of the Country Club Association.
Discussion was held on establishing an advisory board, how many members
and how they are to be appointed. It was suggested that 5 or 7 be named to
a committee and then let them come up with a chain of command and duties.
Mr. Lund submitted a proposed ordinance establishing an Advisory Board,
which was read by the Mayor and generally accepted by the Council members,
with the number of Board members to be decided later.
Definition of membership classifications, social members, cards, etc. to
be left to study by the committee (or board) and recommendation.
The Mayor asked the Council to come back with names for appointment by
the second meeting in December.
Some of the residents present asked about the "Singles Dance"booked at the
Club for the coming Friday which had been advertised in the Herald, the News
and the Journal. It was the consensus of the Council that it should be cancelled.
The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p. m.
