06-19-1975 Work Session 6/19/75 COUNCIL WORK SESSION on Police Labor Negotiations Thursday, June 19, 1975 5;00 p.m. , Village Hall In attendance; Mayor McIntosh, Councilmen Claussen, Condit, Davis and McLeod David Peace, Village Manager Richard Lund, Village Attorney Chief Fletcher Paul Pothin, Labor Negotiator James Glaid, Finance Director This meeting was called for the purpose of reviewing the P. B. A. contractural demands with the Village negotiator, Mr. Paul Pothin. Mr. Pothin listed the main issues to be resolved as: 1. Additional holidays. Present number - 10. Recommended two more as floating holidays. After discussion it was tentatively agreed to allow 9 fixed holidays, 1 for birthday and 2 floaters. 2. Retirement plan - Mr. Pothin recommended no salary increase if they are transferred to the State plan which would be 10076 funded by the Village. 3. Improved hospitalization with better family coverage. Recommended that the Village pay $1. 75 per employee on family coverage. 4. Uniforms for detectives - allowance at $350. 00 per man.
