10-29-1974 Work Session COUNCIL WORK SESSION on the proposed Agreement for the merger of the Miami Shores Village Auto Inspection Station with Metropolitan Dade County. Tuesday, October 29, 1974 5:00 p.m. at the Village Hall In attendance: Mayor Condit, Councilmen Claussen, Smenner and Jones Village Attorney Thomas Anderson, Village Manager David Peace, Chief Fletcher, Jim Glaid, Finance Director, and members of the Chamber of Commerce. Mr. John Greene of the County Manager's office, had submitted a proposed agreement approved by the County personnel involved, for the merger of the Village auto inspection station with Metro. This meeting was called for the purpose of finalizing the Village's terms before approval at the next Council meeting. Mr. Clement, who could not be present, had voiced his objection to any contract based on a rental of $1. 00 a year. In reviewing the agreement the following notations and amendments were requested: Paragraph 1. - add clause to assure that apparatus and supplies will be returned to the city at the expiration of the lease. Paragraph 2. - include, "without diminution of compensation. . " Date Exhibit 2 - September 1, 1974. Paragraph 4. - omit "with an option to renew". Paragraph 6. - indicate amount of insurance and add save harmless clause.
