7:00 p.m. , Village Hall
In attendance: Mayor Condit, Councilmen Jones, Claussen and
Smenner
John McIntyre, Village Manager
James Glaid, Finance Director
Kenneth R. Hammons, applicant for Manager's job
Mr. Kenneth R. Hammons, 114 N. W. 6th Avenue, Homestead,
Acting City Manager of Homestead, was present to be interviewed
for the position of Village Manager, having previously submitted
his resume.
The Village Manager presented new figures on the Village budget
based on changes requested at the last budget meeting.
In discussing the closing of the Inspection Station the Village Manager
reported that he had written John Greene concerning the leasing of
the building and land to the County for one year or having the County
take over the operation and personnel on a lease basis. It was
Mr. Claussen's opinion that if we can't get rent then we should lease
it for $1. 00 providing they will take our employees and assume all
costs and terminate the station after one year.
The Council was reminded of the meeting on Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
with Paul Pothin, our labor negotiator on the Fire and Police labor
contracts.
The meeting adjourned at 10:05 p. m.
