SPECIAL COUNCIL WORK SESSION - to review plans developed by the
By-Laws Revision Committee on the operation of the Country Club.
May 23, 1974, 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall.
In attendance: Mayor Condit, Councilmen Claussen and Clement, the
Village Manager and the following interested persons: J. S. Gionfriddo,
Howard McLaughlin, Charlie Dunn, Jack Fitzgerald, Herb Warren,
Dick Lund, Ted Hawkins and John Ely.
Mr. Gionfriddo explained one plan calling for a five-man Board of
Governors appointed by the Council, having authority over the elected
committee chairmen and department heads through the Village Manager.
Mr. Dunn explained the other plan calling for a Board of Governors con-
sisting of ten members appointed by the Council, with authority to
manage and direct the affairs of the Country Club.
Following a discussion of these plans Mr. John Ely, Club Manager
reviewed financial reports on the last seven months' operation of the
Club.
Mayor Condit stated that further discussion of the Country Club plans
will have to be at a meeting of five Councilmen.
The meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
