03-26-1974 Director's Meeting 3S
TO THE MIAMI SHORES COUNCIL:
The Miami Shores Chamber of Commerce at their Director's
Meeting March 26, 1974, had brought to their attention the
matter of changing Ordinance ; 367 to allow 271 or 30' boats
and trailers. This Ordinance #367 was discussed at length by
our Directors. This produced a motion that the Chamber of
Commerce go on record at the next Village Council Meeting
April 2, as unanimously opposing any change. of the existing
Ordinance #367. Also the Board suggested strict policing
and enforcement of this Ordinance.
It is the sincere interest of the Miami Shores Chamber of
Commerce that we do everything in our power to keep Miami Shores
the desirable community which our citizens insist on maintaining.
We also suggest that the Council check the regulations of
Coral Gables, a respected community, as to their regulations
where no house trailers or mobile homes of any description are
allowed. As for boats, they require no parking in side yards
adjacent to streets. They do not allow any parking in front
yards or. driveways. They do allow back yard parking of boats
or onset-back side yards between houses.
Respectfully Submitted:
