A regular meeting of the Miami Shores Village Council was held

Councilmen present:

In the absence of Mayor Clement, Mr. Claussen took the chair.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved as written by motion made by
Mr. Saxon, seconded by Mr. Jones and passed unanimously.
The Village Manager reported that the Greens Committee had
recommended that a special mower be purchased for cutting the tees and
bids for this type mower were presented as follows:
HECTOR TURF & GARDEN SUPPLY $585. 00
70. 00 sulky
655. 00
DeBRA TURF & EQUIPMENT CO. $665. 00 with sulky
Since the number of blades differed as well as the horsepower, Mr. Saxon
moved that the Village Manager be authorized to spend up to $665. 00 after
analyzing the bids as to which is the best unit to purchase. Motion was
seconded by Mr. Jones and passed unanimously.

amount of $750. 00 for services in the five-story apartment suit. Mr. Miller
moved that this bill be approved for payment. Motion was seconded by Mr.
Saxon and passed unanimously.
The orchid house built by Mr. Fred Rouse, without permit, at 1441
N. E. 102nd St. , was again brought up for discussion. Because this enclosure
had been built in the side setback, the adjoining neighbor had objected to its
location when recently contacted by mail. After some discussion as to its
disposition, Mr. Miller moved that the question be left until the neighbor
returns and is heard, or a new owner of the adjoining property objects, at which
time Mr. Rouse agrees to tear it down. Motion was seconded by Mr. Jones
and passed unanimously.
A proposed ordinance was read which establishes regulations govern-
ing the storage of boats in R, A, and O Districts. Upon motion made by Mr.
Miller, seconded by Mr. Jones, ORDINANCE NO. 312 was unanimously passed,
same being entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO.
270 AND THE SCHEDULE OF REGULATIONS ATTACHED,
AS AMENDED.
Concerning the Unfinished Business, Mr. Claussen asked that the item
on Shuffleboard Courts be removed.
Mr. Claussen also mentioned the recent meeting of the Golf Committee
Chairmen and asked that the Council be invited to their next meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 4:35 P.M.
