PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BUDGET 1961-62
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL
September 19, 1961
The Miami Shores Village Council held a public hearing at the Village
Hall on September 19, 1961, at 7:30 P. M. , for the purpose of reviewing the
tentative budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1961. The following
Councilmen were present:
Mayor Dale Miller
Dean R. Claussen
Spencer W. Rudnick
Joseph H. Walker
Abs ent: John F. Saxon
The Village Manager and the Finance Director were also present,
as well as, nine citizens.
The meeting was opened by Mayor Miller and then turned over to
Mr. Claussen who presented the budget to those present and reviewed all
proposed revenue and expenditures of the Village, Golf Course and Library.
Two complaints were voiced concerning the recent alley paving on
the west side. Mr. Stucker, President of the Chamber of Commerce, asked
why the parking meter regulations were not being enforced. Mr. Stucker
also mentioned the University of Florida study made of Miami Shores as an
outstanding example of a stable government, and commended the city officials
on this recognition..
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
