MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MATING
OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF 19ANI SHORES
VILLAGE FLORIDA, HELD JUNE 29,194,8
A special meeting of the Miami Shores Village Council was held at
3:00 o'clock P.M., June 29, at the Village offices, with the following Council-
men present:
Mayor Mackenzie
L. J. McCaffrey
M. E. Reynolds
George A. Frix
Absent: Howard I. Parish
Mr. H. M. Burnham of Russell T. Pancoast & Associates was also
present to discuss the detail draidngs of the new City Hall. After a general
discussion, Mr. Frix made a motion that the drawings be accepted with the follow-
ing changes: that the plot plan of the City Hall be moved to the center of the
lot, that the colored cement floors be stipulated as green and that Crab Orchard
stone be used on the outside of the building on both sides of the entrance for
decorative purposes. This motion was seconded by Mr. McCaffrey and upon vote,
all were in accord.
The next item for consideration was the acceptance of the architect's
proposal of an additional fee of 2% for architectural supervision, making a
total fee of 6%. Mr. Reynolds moved that the agreement submitted by Russell T.
Pancoast & Associates, dated June 1, 1948 be accepted as written to include
supervision and that the architect be authorized to secure bids which are to be
presented at a special meeting, July 27, to be held at the Village offices at
7:30 P.M. Mr. Frix seconded this motion and it was unanimously passed.
Concerning the Library Board, Mr. McCaffrey moved that the Village
Manager get in touch with the three remaining names on Mr. Brockway's list to

see if they will serve on the Board, with the following terms:

Mrs. Haygood Lasseter 3
Mr. Reynolds seconded the motion and it was passed by all members
of the Council.

The Village Manager distributed copies of a tentative budget to
be discussed at the next regular meeting, July 6, 1948.
Meeting adjourned at 5:00 P.M.
