MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL

A regular meeting of I►di.ami Shores Village Council
was held at the Village Office at 9 P.Ad. on TIM 179 19479
following the Council Election held on that day to elect tree
new members of the Village Council.
Present were Mayor L... To NaCaffrey

Howard Parish
Absents We H. Magee
Mr. Nadeau representing Mr. Thomas H. Anderson, Pillage Attorney,
was also present.
The Council received the Certificate of Election sub-
mitted by the Election Board containing the result of the Election
held lune 179 1947 (said Certificate being attached to and made
a part of these Idinutes) and after canvassing the vote Mr. Parish
moved that Ordinance No.- 171 be adopted. Motion was seconded by
W. Reynolda. and unanimously carried. Said. Ordinance being an
Ordinance declaring. the result of the Election and the election
to the Council of Roy Mackenzie to serve four years& M.B. Reynolds;
to serve four years. and Howard Parish to serve two years. Mr.
Mackenzie, Mr. Reynolds and Mr• Parish were then sworn in and
installed by C. Lawton McCall as notary public.
Council then received a letter from Mr.. N. H. McKee

reaigning, as a member of the council.and upon motion by Meq
Reynolds, seconded by Mr* Pariabe and unanimously carried.
the resignation was accepted*
Action on appointing someone to fill We McKee's
unexpired term was postponed until the next Meeting.
Upon motion made by Mr* Reynolds, seconded by Mre
Mackenzie, and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned
at 9:25 P.M*,

CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION
WE, the undersigned duly appointed, qualified and acting
election officials of Miami Shores Village, appointed so to act
by the laws and ordinances of said Village at the election of
June 17, 1947, to fill three vacancies on the Council of said
Village, do hereby certify, that as such election officials, we
did hold said regular election at the Village Office, 9545 North-
east Second Avenue, Miami Shores Village, to fill the three vacancies
on the Council thereof, and that the following named persons duly
qualfied candidates in said election received a number of votes
as follows:
M. P. Hct*st 22- 1 Votes
Frank E. Lautz `1 1 7 Votes
Roy MacKenzie Votes

M. E. (Duke) Reynolds Votes

The number of qualified electors of Miami Shores Village

According to the votes `received as above tabulated
ree led the two highest number of the majority of votes cast
and by reason thereof are duly elected as members of the Miami
Shores Village Council for terms of four years each, beginning
June 17, 1947, and ending on the Third Tuesday in June, 1951.
According to the votes received as above tabulated

number of the majority of votes cast and by reason thereof is
duly elected a member of the Miami Shores Village Council for
a term of two years beginning June 17, 1947, and ending on the
Third Tuesday in June, 194(7.
We further certify that the votes as listed opposite
the names of the respective candidates constitutes a true and

said election was held in accordance with all the laws and. ordi-
nances of the Village and all laws of the State of Florida appli-
