06-10-1946 Special Meeting MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL JUNE 10, 1946 A special meeting of Miami Shores Village Council was held on June 10, 1946 at 7:30 PM. All members of the Council were present, except Mro liilburn• Mr, Thomas Anderson, Village Attorney, was also present. Mr. Reynolds moved that the Council dispense with the reading of the Minutes of Regular Meeting of May 14 and of Special Meetings of May 21 and 28 and June 4, 1946• The motion was seconded by Mr. McKee and carried unanimously. Upon question by the Mayor, it was expressed as the intention of the Council that the Minutes of such meetings be approved. Mr. Reypolds moved that bills for month of May 1946 in total amount of $3,991.41 be paid. The motion was seconded by Mr. McKee and carried unanimously. The Council considered tentative budget for the Village for period August 1, 1946 to July 31, 1947. Without formal action, it was agreed that the tentative budget, reflecting changes decided upon by the Council, would be retyped and again presented to the Council at regular meeting on June 11. In con- nection therewith, the following was agreed upon: (1) Beautification Fund: A complete plan for beautification to be drawn up and submitted to the Council. (2) Lot Cleaning: Charges to be made on pro rata basis to benefited owners. 9L -t 1. 75 � Y -2- (3) Building Inspector: That the Village Manager convey to the Building Inspector the fact that performance of the duties of this position had been discussed by the Council in deciding upon budget increase in the salary applicable thereto. (4) Recreation Director: That the Village Manager endeavor to utilize the services of the Recreation Director in other departments of the organization through the summer months, it being understood he will draw his scheduled salary during such period, same to be paid out of funds for department in which serving. Mr. Reynolds brought up the matter of payment for time spent in attendance at Council meetings by municipal clerical personnel. Without formal action, it was agreed by the Council that such employees should be paid time-and-a-half for time thus spent. The meeting adjourned at 11:15 PM.
