BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
JULY 21, 1943.
The Board of Equalization of Miami Shores Village
continued its meeting on July 21, 1943, and after some discussion
denied the request of Col. Musgrave and Mr. Geo. Blymer for
reductions in assessments.
There being no further business presented to the Board
of Equalization, upon motion of Mr. Reynolds, seconded by Mr.
Earnest, the meeting of the Board was disolved.
The Village Council immediately convened and upon motion
of Mr. Reynolds, seconded by Mr. Arnold, the Council unanimously
instructed that $5000.00 of unexpended funds appropriated for
the year 1942-43 be transferred into a post-war reserve fund.
Upon motion of Mr. Arnold, seconded by Mr. Reynolds,
Ordinance No. 124 was adopted by a 3/5 majority, Mr. Dooly and
Mr. Thompson dissenting; said ordinance being entitled:
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE FINAL
BUDGET OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OF SAID VILLAGE
FROM AUGUST 1, 1943 TO JULY 31, 1944.
Upon motion of Mr. Arnold, seconded by Mr. Earnest,
Ordinance No. 125 was adopted by a 3/5 majority, Mr. Dooly and
Mr. Thompson dissenting; said ordinance being entitled:
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE FINAL TAX
ASSESSMENT ROLL OF MIAMI SHORES
VILLAGE FOR THE YEAR 1943; DETERMINA-
TION OF VALUE OF REAL AND PERSONAL
PROPERTY AND FIXING THE MILLAGE FOR
REVENUE FOR THE REQUIREMENTS OF SAID
VILLAGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR AUGUST 1,
1943 THROUGH JULY 31, 1944.
There being no further business to present for
discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
