MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 10th, 1942.
The regular monthly meeting of the Miami Shores Village
Council was held on November 10th, 1942. Present were Mr. Arnold,
Mr. Dooly, Mr. Earnest, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Thompson and the
Village Attorney, the Village Maneger being absent.
The minutes of the meeting of October 6th, 1942, were
read and approved.
Upon motion of Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Earnest,
the Council confirmed the granting of Homestead Exemptions to
the following people whose applications haA been held up past
the date of adoption of the tax roll:
Mrs. William Blend
Miguel Serra
Edmund J.Harrington
J. H. Powell
Thos. D. Kelliher
Francis X. Brown

Upon motion of Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Dooly,
the Council instructed that the following people be granted
Homestead Exemption for the year 1942, and that these people be
warned that in the future applications for exemption must be
filsd
prior to April 1st of each year:

Upon motion of Mr.

Thompson, seconded by Mr. Earnest,
October bills in the amount of $2262.16 were approved and'ordered
paid.
The Council instructed that the Village Manager investigate
the new bus line using the streets of the Village, and also
to investigate the possibility of installing additional
street lights on Biscayne Boulevard and on N. E. 6th Avenue
from the Boulevard to the Railroad.
The Council discussed the dim-out patrol east
of the Railroad and concluded that this patrol should be
handled by the Auxiliary Police Force.
After which the meeting was adjourned.
