11-07-1940 Public HearingMINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE ,NOVEMBER 7, 1940 Pursuant to fifteen days notice the Miami Shores Village Council held a public hearing on two proposed amendments to the Miami Shores Village Zoning Ordinance No.#92. Present were Mr. Milledge, Mr. Lindsey, Mr. Stockdell and Mr. Pruitt. Said proposal being first that the area including the parts of Lots 16, 17 and 18, Asbury Park lying west of Biscayne Blvd. be changed from park zone to B-1 zone. The history of the previous proposal to accuire this propetty for a Village park was given including explanation of the Condemnation Suit and the Council resolution concerning the withdrawal of said suit and the purpose for calling the public hearing. There were 38 property owners present and after full discussion a resolution was proposed by Mr. James A. Dixon that it be the sense of the meeting that the Council continue the Condemnation Suit to acquire this property for an entrance park and upon being put to a vote 33 people voted for the resolution and 5 against. The next proposed amendment was that property fronting on 96th Street between 8th Avenue and the railroad be increased over its present minimum tubage footage requirements, and after some discussion Mr. Lindsey made a motion that it be the sense of this meeting that this 96th Street property frontage requirement be increased. This motion was put to a vote and 37 of those present voted Yes and 2 voted No, after which the Mayor adjourned the meeting. APPVED B Ced CIL: Ma illage danager a'd Clerk
