06-12-1940 Regular MeetingREGULAR MONTHLY Mig1' ING OF THE MIAMI SNORES VILLAGE COUNCIL JUNE 12, 1940 The regular monthly meeting of the Miami Shores Village Council was held on June 12, 1940, all members being present except Mr. Kitson. 90 /41‘. Mi l Led6-e- Mr. Frank 0. Pruitt was elected chairman of the meeting and the minutes of April 16th and May 31st, were read and approved. The Council decided to abandon the proposed 2nd Avenue WPA, improvement project. The Council discussed the golf course in receipt of a letter from the WPA stating that unless the golf course suit was dismissed before June 20th, that the WPA would turn the matter over to the Attorney General for whatever action he might see fit to take. Mr. Holt reported that he would inform the WPA of the Progress being made in the lawsuit of Bessemer Properties.. Its. Miller appeared before the Council and requested the use of the Community House for a Lutheran Church Sunday School, but the Council decided that under the terms of the lease on this property this request could not be granted. The Council authorized the ex- ecution of a new lease on the Community House property. The sum of X25.00 was appropriated for Mr. Holt to attend a conference of City Attorneys in Orlando. The May bills in the amount of $1402.91 were approved, after which the meeting was adjourned.
