05-11-1939 Regular Meeting MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL May 11, 1939. The regular monthly meeting of the Miami Shores Village Council was held on May, 11, 1939, in the Village office at 7: 30 P. M. Present were Mayor Carlisle, Mr. Pruitt, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Kitson �c and the Village Clerk. Minutes of the meetings of April 11th and April 28th, 1939, were read and approved. Mr. Lester Mitchel appeared before the Council, and a letter from him was read by the Clerk in regards to the repairing of N. E. 10th Court. Upon motion made by Mr. Gordon and seconded by Mr. Kitson, the Council mered hat this street be repaired to the next intersection and continued to include 94th Street at a cost of $546.00, pending receipt of $75.00 from Mr. Byron Kirby as a donation towards this work. A letter from the Northeast Citizens Association was read by the Clerk wherein they protested the closing of N. E. 90th Street from Biscayne Boulevard to 6th Avenue. The Council ordered4this letter be received and filed. Mr. Troy Hewett appeared before the Council and asked for tentative approval of a plat, namely, the S. E. 2 of N. W. a of S. E. 4 Less E. 210 ft. of S. 420 ft. and Less W. 210 ft. of S. 420 ft. 1-53-41, -b:w 1 Upon motion made by Mr. Gordon and seconded by Mr. Pruitt, the Council this plat contingent upon the the i final signatures on the plat and all the usual requirements of the Village as to streets and sidewalks, etc. being complied with. The matter of buying furniture owned and stored in this office by Mr. Tyler for 0200.00 was brought up but it was decided to hold this rr in abeyance until the Village Manager coulU check with prices elsewhere. Upon motion made by Mr. Kitson and seconded by Mr. Pruitt0.Plat amending Block 185, Miami Shores Section 8, was approved as presented and ordered officially signed after all the other necessary signatures i are on same. Upon motion made by Mr. Gordon and seconded by Mr. Pruitt, Resolution No. 232 was unanimously passed and adopted, said Resolution being entitled 11A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE GOLF COURSE COMMITTEE TO SECURE A LOAN OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5000.00) FROM BESSEMER PROPERTIES INCORPORATED, AND PROVID- ING METHOD OF SECURING THE SAID ADVANCE OF MONEY. " a copy being attached to and made a part of these minutes. Kitson, April bills in the amount of L525.48 were approved, ordered paid and a list of same spread on the minutes of this meeting, after which the meeting was adjourned. ' G c/ ROVED BY OUNCIL: s i e Manag and Cler Maycr• MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE RESOLUTION NO. 232 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE GOLF COURSE COMMITTEE TO SECURE A LOAN OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5000.00) FROM BESSEMER PROPERTIES INCORPORATED, AND PROVID- ING METHOD OF SECURING THE SAID ADVANCE OF MONEY. BE IT RESOLVED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE: SECTION 1. That the Golf.Course Committee of the Village of Miami Shores be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to secure a sum of money not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5000.00) from the Bessemer Properties, Inc. SECTION 2. That said sum of money shall be secured upon the same terms and conditions as set forth in that certain mortgage dated December 1, 1937, and subsequently amended. SECTION 3. That whatever security is given, temporarily or permanently,for said money, shall in no way be a general obligation of the Village of Miami Shores but shall be an obligation chargeable only to the Golf Course of said Village. SECTION 4. That the said Golf Course Committee is hereby authorized to execute whatever instrument may be required to secure said sum of money conditioned upon said instruments complying with Sections 1, 2 and 3 of this Resolution.
