11-18-1937 Special Meeting MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL.
November 18th, 1937
The Miami Shores Village Council held a special meeting on
November 18th, 1937 at the Seven Sees Restuarant, all members, the
Village Attorney and Village Clerk were present.
The Council passed by a four-fifths majority Ordinance No.
67, Mr. Lindsey voting in the ne.gative . Said Ordinance being entitled;
"AN ORDINANCE TO. PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, CONSTURCTION, LAYING,
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A FUEL GAS LINE THROUGH THE PUBLIC STREETS
AND HIGH_d-YS OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND IM-
POSING PROVISIONS AND CONDITIONS RELATING THERETO, INCLUDING AN
AGREEMENT BY THE GRANTEE TO SAVE THE SAID CITY HARMLESS FROM ANY
DAMAGES THI�T MIGHT BE SUSTAINED ON ACCOUNT OF THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE
GRANTEE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SUCH A PIPE LINE."
Upon motion of Mr. Carlisle, seconded by Mr. Kitson, Ordinance
No. 65 was passed, said Ordinance being entitled; "AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING AND APPROVING THE FORDS OF BALLOTS FOR THE GOLF COURSE
ELECTION, UNDER ORDINANCE NO 64, AND RESOLUTION NO. 213 AND RELATING
TO THE CASTING OF BALLOTS."
Upon motion of Mr. Pruitt, seconded by Mr. Carlisle, Ordinahce
No. 66 was passed, said Ordinance being entitled; "AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 15, AND RELATING FURTHER TO ELECTIONS ,IND TO
THE REGISTRATIONS OF ELECTORS."
The Council set Monday night, November 22nd, to have a public
meetingto discuss the Golf Course with the Village g property owners,
after which the meeting was adjourned.
