10-12-1937 Regular Meeting i MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MIA.MI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL. October 12, 1937 regular monthly meeting of the Miami- Shores Village Council was held d on October 12, 1937,. present were Mayor Goll, Mr. Kitson and Mr. Carlisle, and the Village Attorney and Village Clerk. Mr. Collins of the Peoples Gas Company presented a proposal to permit his company to install a transmission gas main through the Village Due to the absence of two members the council post- poned action on this matter. Upon motion of Mr. Carlisle, seconded by Mr. Kitson ordinance r No. 61 was passed, entitled;; "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A DEED OF CERTAIN LANDS FOR A PROPOSED GOLF COURSE, AND STATING THE CONDITIONS i THEREOF." Upon- motion of Mr. Kitson, seconded by Mr. Carlisle, Ordinance No. 62 was passed; it being entitled: "AN ORDINANCE VACATING .AND DISCONTINUING CERTIAN STREETS, ALLEYS AND WAYS IN AND NEAR THE SUB- DIVISION OF SHOREHkRT, KENNEDY'S FIRST SUBDIVISION OF BISCAYNE, GEO. M. PHIPPEN'S SUBDIVISION, AND PART OF SECTION EIGHT(8) OF MIAMI SHORES, TO WIT: IN THE PROPOSED GOLF COURSE." Upon motion of Mr. Carlisle, seconded by Mr. Kitson, Ordinance No. 63 was passed, it being entitled: . "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING TO THE t PUBLIC .AND PRIVATE PASSAGE THAT PART OF NORTHEAST NINETIETH STREET (DESIGNATED ON THE PLAT OF ASBURY PARK, RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK ,41 PAGE 110, AS TURNER AVENUE) LYING WEST OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD; SAID PART OF SAID NORTHEAST NINETIETH STREET IS BOUNDED NORTH BY THE SOUTH L LINE OF LOT FIFTEEN(15) OF ASBURY PARK, EAST BY THE WESTERLY LINE OF BISCAYNE BOLTLEVARB, SOUTH BY THE NORTH LINE OF LOT SIXTEEN (16) OF fi ASBURY PARK AND WEST BY THE EAST LINE OF NORTHEAST SIXTR AVENUE." Upon motion of Mr. Carlisle , seconded by Mr. Kitson Resolution No. 212 was passed, it being "A RESOLUTION DIRECTING A-ND kUTHORIZING THE INSTITUTION 1,_ND MAINTENANCE TO FIiVAL CONCLUSION PRODEEDINGS IN CONDEMNATION AG.:_INST THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY LOCiTED IN MIAkI SHORES VILLI-�GE, DaDE COUNTY, FLORIDh, TO T'IT: LOT Sm (�) , OF BLOCK o(a) , OF SHOREHART, A SUBDIVISION ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 19, PkGtE 80, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DiiDE COUNTY, FLURIDii, AND AUTHORIZING THE VILL.LGE -iTTORNEY TO PERFORM ANY ?SND ::LL ACTS AND DO .ILL THINGS NECESSLiRY FOR A SPEEDY AND SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF SUCH PROCEEDINGS, AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLI-iGE CLERK kN.D MAYOR TO EXPEND THE NECESSARY MONIES FOR THE S.LME. " The Council ap�;roved a proposed plat of a subdivision to be known as Golf View Estates, owned by Mrs. Ethel M. Hauk. The Council approved payment of September bills in the amount of $2,579.36, a copy of same being attached to and made a part of these minutes . The meeting was then adjourned.
