07-27-1937 Public Hearing MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE.COUNCIL July 27, 1937 The Miami Shores Village Council held a public Meeting on July 273, 1937 at the Village Community house for the purpose of discussing the tentative budget for 1937-38, as adopted on July 12, 1937, and amended on July 222 1937 There were fifteen property owners at this meeting, who discussed with the Council, the various items of the tentative budget, and, although there was considerable conversation, there. were no objections raised. The Council then resolved itself into an equalization board and adjourned until July 28th, at which time an objection to i the assessment on his home was presented by Mr. Fred Yould, and after investigation the Council decided that this assessment should remain the same. There being no other business presented to the board, the Meeting was adjourned until July 28, 1937, and as no business was presented to the equalization board, upon motion of Mr, Lindsey, seconded by Mr. Kitson, the board was dissolved and the Meeting continued as a Council Meeting. And upon motion of Mr. Lindsey, seconded by Mr. Kitson ordinance No. 58 and ordinance No. 59 were passed. Ordinance No, 58 being as follows:, MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE ORDINANCE # 58 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING FINAL BUDGET OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OF THE VILLAGE FROM AUGUEST 10 1937, to JULY 31, 1938 BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE: SECTION 1. That the following be and the same is bareby adopted as the final budget of Miami Shores Village for the fiscal period from August 1, 1937 to July 41, 1938; . 1 SECTION 2. Each word, phrase# sentence or section of this ordinance shall be severable and the invalidity of any word, phrase, sentence or section shall in no way or degree impair any other part or parts thereof, SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, SECTION 4. That an emergency exists for the protection of the public welfare, life and property. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be effedtive immediately upon its passage. UNANIMOUSLY PASSED' AND ADOPTED this 26 day of July, A. D., 1937. ATTEST: C. Lawton McCall Otto H. And ordinance NO. 59 being as follows: MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE ORDIANCE # 59 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING FINAL TAX ASSESSE ?T ROLL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR FROM AUGUFT 19 1937 TO JULY 310 1938; DETERMINATION OF VALUE OF REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY AND FIXING THE MILLAGE FOR REVENUE FOR THE FISCAL REQUIREMENTS OF SAID VILLAGE. BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE: SECTION 1.
