= MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL.

A meeting of the Miami Shores Village Council was held
July 22, 1937 at the Village office. All members of the
Council were present, as was the Village attorney and Village Clerk.
The Council, upon motion of Mr, Pruitt, seconded by Mr.
Carlisle, increased the contingent fund of the tentative Budget
for 1937-380 to 07413,260 which increased the .proposed millage to
eleven mills.
Upon motion of Mr. Pruitt, seconded by Mr. Lindsey, the
petition of the property owners of N, E, 90th Street, to be taken
into the Village, was not acted upon due to reports that other
people in that area were expecting to present a petition to the
Council to annex all the county property south to the Little River
Canal,
The Council denied permission to construct a house on
Lot 6 Blk 186 Miami Shores Sub.
Upon motion of Mr, Carlisles seconded by Mr, Pruitt, the
Village Manager was authorized to sell all tag certificates and
tax titles on hand. An offer of 01896,00 having been received for
same.
After which the meeting was adjourned.
SECTION 2. That the valuation of real and personal
property within the Village at its fair cash market value for the
fiscal year from August 1, 1937, to July 31, 1938s less homestead
exemption, is $2,659,024,00
SECTION 3. That the na3.11age for the fiscal year from
August 1, 1937, to July 31, 19389 is hereby fixed at eleven mills
SECTION 4. Each word, phrase, sentence or section of
this ordinance shall be severable and the invalidity of any word,
phrase, sentence or section shall in no way or degree impair any
other part or parts thereof.
SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. That an emergency exists for the protection
of the public welfare, life and property.
SECTION 7. This ordinance' sbAll be effective immediately
upon its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26 day of July, A. D., 1937, by
unanimous vote.
