11-10-1936 Regular Meeting MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL. . November 100 1936 -The regular monthly meeting of Miami Shores Village Council was held November 10th, 1936 at the Village Office. All members of the Council and the Village Clerk were present. The minutes of the previous meeting on October 22nd, were read and approved. The following petition was presented to the Council: We, the undersigned resident owners of real estate, hereby petition the Council of the Village of Miami Shores that by resolutions or ordinances that the lands hereinafter described be included within the territorial boundaries of the Village of Miami Shores in accordance with Chapter No. 16568 of the Special Acts of the Legislature of 1933, said lands being described as follows, to-wit! North half (Nz) of Blocks One (1), Two (2) and Three (3) of EL PORTAL, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 9 at page 101; North half (N2) of Block 7 of EL PORTAL, Section Two (2), according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 9 at page 115, North half (N-) of Block 9 of EL PORTAL, Section Three (3), according to the plat thereof re- corded in Plat Book 9 at page 148. E. 91st Street and due to the absence of the Village Attorney it was decided to consider this petition at a special meeting to be called upon the return of the Village Attorney. The Council discussed the use of the Community House and it was decided that the regulat o$ of same be set forth in an Ordinance to be presented by Councilman John J. Lindsey. Upon motion of Mr. Lindsey and seconded by Mr. Kitson, the Council adopted the Building Code as presented by Councilman Otto H. Goll, said Code having been prepared by Mr. Goll, Mr, C. F. Wheeler and Mr. C. Simmons, and the Building Inspector to en- force all the provisions of said Code immediately. Bills ineured in October were ordered paid, a list of same being attached to and made a part ;of these minutes. There being no other business presented for discussion the meeting was adjourned.
