10-07-1936 Special Meeting MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL.
October 7, 1936
A. special meeting of Miami Shores Village Council was
held at the Village Community House October 7, 1936 at 7;30
P. M., a quorum being present.
The first matter of business was an appeal of the Plan-
ning Board decision refusing a permit to Mr. T. J. Ellis to build
a house because of a shingle roof.
After due discussion, upon motion of Mr. Lindsey,
seconded by Mr. Kikson, it was resolved by four-fifths vote
that the Planning Board decision- be reversed and that a permit
be issued Mr. Ellis immediately, provided all Zongin Restrictions
were complied with by him.
The Council then adjourned to the Community House Add-
itorium, and dedicated the Com mmtiy House, there being about
250 Village residents present.
After introducing the Council, Mayor Pruitt made the
dedication address and highly praised Coumcilman Otto H. Goll
for his unceasing efforts in completing the building.
Village Attorney Geo, E. Holt gave an address on Muni-
cipal progress, and the developement of the Village since its
incorporation.
After an entertainment program and refreshments the
meeting was adjourned.
