For '.PPoiWfwraf aFC,�l� G- t- , vvt ` - G s A special meeting of Miami Shores Village Council was d^ held on December 12, 1935 at the Village office at 7;30 P. M. Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was postponed until a later meeting. A proposal to extend the time to April 1st, for filing Homestead exemption application:-was discussed. No decision was reached and the Village Clerk was instructed to make a check of all home owners eligable to exemption, and report to the Council at the next meeting the total amount of reduction, this would cause, in the .total estimated revenue from the tax roll. Mr. Skirvin made a complaint regarding noises made at the plant of The United Shutter Awning Company, and the Village Manager was instructed to investigate the hours of operation and all noises made by said Awning Company, and report his findings at the next meeting of the Council. The Village Manager was instructed to see all residents in the Northwest section of the Village North of 99th Street and ask for their opinions on a proposal to change the building re- strictions in thaVarea in order to permit houses to be const- ructed five feet from the side lines of the properties. Upon motion of Mr. Carlisle 7and seconded by Mr. Lindsey, the Council voted to donate $15.00, to The All American Air Races, to be used for purchasing one of the trophies given at the air meet in December. .. _ >_ "" — ..+r►'t + ..tom'. r:.A'. ..+�_ .y �! .y 3.'rC}r ... - Mr. Godard, the Building Inspector, reported that new cabins were being built at Halliwell 's Tourist Camp without a building permit. The Village Manager was instructed to have anyone arrested found working on said cabins, notice already having been given to cease work on same . The Village Attorney was authorized to adjust error in Village records made on Lots 6 of Block 78 and 23 and 24 of Block 55. Upon motion of Mr. Lindsey, seconded by Mr. Goll, the Village Garbage Ordinance was passed with correction to read that all garbage containers shall have tight fitting covers. The Village Manager presented a list of current bills for the month of November, which were reviewed by the council and approved. Discussion of a planning board was postponed until next meeting.
