MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL.
Sept. 10, 1935
A special meeting of the Miami Shores Village Council
was held at the Village office at 7;30 P. M. on Tuesday, Sept-
ember 10th. A quorum of the Council was present.
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read, amended,
and approved.
Mr. Godard, the building inspecter, presented a set of
plans for the remodeling of the present building at 92nd Street
and 2nd Avenue and indicated to the Council that this set of
plans conformed with the Village zoning ordinance and building
code and Mr. Godard was authorized to issue a permit for work to
proceed.
Mr. Godard also presented a set of plans for the con-
struction of a residence in the Village the architecture of
which was slightly unusual. After discu4on the question of
issuing a permit was left to Mr. Godard as long as he was satis-
fied that the building would conform with the zoning ordinance
acid building code.
Mr. W. E. Peach brought up the question of oiling the
streets in Navarro and Hamilton 'terrace subdivisions, and the
Council decided to postpone a decision until they could de-
finately learn what assistance could be obtained from the Fed-
eral Government for street improvement and repairs.
Mr. Ramon presented blue prints in connection with the
establishment and construction of a community center to be
located at or near 96th Street and Biscayne Boulevard. The
Council appointed a committee including Mr. Godard, Mr. Goll
and Mr. Holt to review the matter and make a report to the Council
as soon as possible.
There being no further business presented for discussion
the meeting was adjourned.

MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE:
The undersigned coidmittee which was requested by
the Village Council at its regular meeting to investigate the
matter of erection of houses in a club association for retired
postal clerks within the Village, begs to report that it has
considered all the information which has been given to it and
is of the opinion that the application for this project to be
located within the Village be denied.
The purpose and intent of such a project is not
in accordance with the future development of the Village as an
exclusive residential community.
