05-08-1934 Regular Meeting MINUTES OF A MEETING OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL . May 8, 1934. A regular monthly meeting of the Village Council was held at the village offices on Tuesday May 8th, 1934. All of the members of the council were present as was the village attorney and village clerk. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved. By order of the council the village clerk was instructed to provide for the proper advertising of tax sale to be held the first Monday in June of 1934, covering the 1933- 34 delinquent taxes. Upon uninamous vote of the council ordinance no 15, relating to danger signals at railroad crossings was repealed and ordinance No. 15-A was then passed, the latter referring to the matter in a more complete detail. The question of certain streets in the village claimed to be dedicated as public property by Mr. AC.Bivans was discussed and the village attorney was instructed to proceed in the matter as he found to be equitable. On motion of Mr. Lindsey, seconded by Mr. Otto the village clerk was instructed to give notice in writing to the Nelson-Carter Corp. that their building located at 99th St. and Federal Highway must be removed at once, as it did not comply a with the zoning ordinances of the village. On motion of Mr. Carlisle, seconded by Mr. Lindsey approval was given for the payment of 4125.00 to Ring & Mahoney, auditors, for extra services to the village. The village clerk was instructed to employ,,an.. additional man to assist in repairing and patching of streets in the village. The council by unanimous vote approved the exprenditure of an amount, not to exceed 0300.00, to complete the work started by the C .W.A. around and in the wading pool and playground, this work being known as project #13-104.
