MIAMI SHORVS VILLAGE COUNCIL
Apr. 10, 19 34.
The regular monthly meeting of Miami Shores Village
council was held at the village offices at 7: 30 Y .M. on 'Tuesday,
April 10th, 1934. Those present were, Frank 0. Pruitt, Mayor,
and John J. Lindsey, Dr. Chas. D. Claghron and Otto H. Goll.
The village clerk and village attorney were also present.
'The question of having the F. E. C . Railway Co.
install crossing warning signals at both the 6th Avenue and 96th
Street crossings. A proposed ordinance was read making it unlawful
to operate trains over these crossings without proper warning signals
and after discussion on motion of Mr. Lindsey, seconded by Dr. Cleghorn
this ordinance was passed, and the village manager was instructed to
see that the ordinance was complied with at once .
Mr. Nelson of the Nelson-Carter Company was present
and a discussion was had with him regarding a certain frame building
he had placed on 99th St. adjoining the Boulevard which did not meet
with the approval of the council and Mr. Nelson said that the building
would be removed or made to comply with the village ordinances .
The village attorney was instructed to draft a letter
representatives of
to/one Mr. Malley who had made strenuous objections to the foreclosure
suit, explaining the financial condition of the village and indicating
that all tax payers were being treated alike.
There being no further business presented for discussion,
the meeting was adjourned.
