10-24-1933 Regular Meeting MINUTES. OF THE ME ING OF
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL
October 24th, 1933.
The regular monthly meeting of the Village
Council was held at the Village offices on Tuesday October 24tk,
1933. All members of the council were present and the village
attorney and village clerk were also present.
The question of rezoning certain sections of
the village in the vicinity of El Portal and Asbury Park was again
discussed. It was agreed that a definite plan of action would be
determined at -the regular November meeting and also at the November
meeting a definite date would be set for the holding of a public
meeting the purpose of which would be to present to the tax payers
of the village such plan as the council would have decided upon as
best.
The village clerk was instructed to draw a
check to take up warrants of indebtedness still outstanding as far
as possible, after paging current bills, and leaving a balance in
the bank of approximately $500.00.
The Village attorney was instructed to go into
the matter concerning certain properties in the south-west section
of the village which had been dedicated to streets prior to the time
the village came into existance as a municipality and to rendesâ–º an
opinion as to the status of such properthes. .
By vote of the council, it was decided that certain
vacant lots which had recently come into the possession of the
Miami Shores Village Community- Church should not be included in the
proposed tax foreclosure.
There being no further matters presented
for discussion, the meeting was th 3ourned.
