MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL.
June 13, 1933..
• The regular monthly meeting of Miami Shores Village
council was held at the Village offices at 7:30 P.M. Tuesday
June 13th, 1933. Members of the Council present were, Frank 0.
Pruitt, Mayor and M. R. Harrison and W. F. Andes Councilmen. The
Village attorney and Village Clerk were also present.
Owners of property in E1 Portal Subdivision and in
Asbury Park Subdivision in the Village were represented at the
meeting and requested that the Council make certain changes in the
zoning ordinance of the Village, which change would allow them to
construct certain types of buildings in these sections which would
enable the owners of the property to obtain some revenue therefrom
since they were of the opinion that any construction of residences
would not be profitable. The council indicated to the property
owners that they wanted to be entirely fair in the matter, but
deferred a definite decision until such time after they had had
come to
an opportunity to look over the property and/ an equitable
conclusiob.
Representatives of the Tropical Jungle Beer Garden
were present at the meeting and discussed with the council the
question of eliminating the disturbing noise and music during the.
later hours of the evening. It was brought out that there had been
a number of insistent and repeated complaints from residents of the
village and that some considered it a nuisance. The representatives
of" the Tripic al Jungle indicated that they had spent considerable
money and effort to correct the cause of this complaint and indicated
further that they would continue these efforts .

A nu*ber of suggestions were made as to how the nuisance might be
corrected and the council decided to continue the discussion of this
. matter at a later meeting.
• There being no further matters presented for discussion,
the meeting was adjourned. .,
