REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE

September 27, 1932.
• The regular monthly meeting of the Council of
Miami Shores Village was held at the Village offices on Tuesday
-September 27th, 1939, there being present, Frank 0. Pr1itt, Mayor
and M. R. Harrison, Hugh H. Gordon Jr., and Jno. M. Carlisle. The
i
Village attorney and Village Manager were also present.
Mr. Cecil Turner, County Commissioner, was present
and brought up the question of resurfacing N. E . 2nd Avenue. Mr.
Turner suggested that the County migbt be in position to furnish
all the labor to resurface a 33 foot strip in the center of 2nd
Avenue,
but that the County would not have sufficient funds to
pay for all of this work. Mr. Turner asked the Council if the
Village would be willing to pay for the oil and furnish the sand
for this work and after making an estimate of the total cost of the
work it was determined that approximately .$1100.00 would be the
Village's share of the expense. The Council suggested to Mr. Turner
that certain improvements to the paving of 96th Street had been
contemplated and that the County be asked to also assist in doing
i
this work. After sore further discussion,- upon motion of Mr. Gordon,
seconded by Mr. Harrison, the council agreed that if the County
would resurface a 33 foot strip in N. E. Second Avenue, between 105th
Street and 91st Street, the Village would bear its share of the
expense in any amount not .to exceed $1100.00 and that further
•
negotiations be made if possible with the County to share the expense
of 'resurfacing 06th Street between N. E. 2nd Avenue and N. E. 6th
Avenue.
