The NOA provided with the permit documents is NOA 07- 1017.10, which is a Series 16 ga. Outswing Glazed Commercial Steel Door w/ wo Panic Exit Devices — Impact. As per the manufacturer Quality Engineering Products, the door assembly of this glazed steel door begins with the same solid flush 16 ga. Steel door as NOA 07- 1017.09 and then is cut, modified and provided hardware as per product approval NOA 07- 1017.10. Please see the attached correspondence from Quality Engineering Products related to the doors. Because these are exit door for the auditorium we will need to provide rim panic hardware and center mullion as per NOA 07- 1017.10 on the solid flush steel door as Since the NOA for the solid flush 16 ga. Steel doors (NOA 07- 1017.09) does not specifically identify the rim panic hardware and center mullion we offer the NOA 07- 1017.10 as collateral that it can work on the same door but with modifications to it. The construction of our flush doors that are manufactured under NOA 07- 1017.09 is identical to our glazed doors manufactured under NOA 07- 1017.10. These doors on both NOA's have been tested to a maximum design pressure of +- 80PSF. The hardware used on each of the tests can be used on either the flush or the glazed units. If a component hardware item is used the lower of the design pressures will be the final design pressure of the unit.
