Project Summary
The project known as Barry University, Residence Hall, CPR 0001 dated 7/06/2011 is a
revision to the Barry University Residence Hall (previously reviewed and permitted) to
provide a tenant upfit package to 2160 square feet on the Southeast comer of the ground
floor. The space will be occupied as merchantile and will have two separate areas. The
first is a flat bread sandwich shop known as Sandella's and the second is a convenience
store.
In addition to the made to order sandwiches, Sandella's will offer pre -made and wrapped
sandwiches, salads, fruit cups etc, bottled drinks such as water, flavored water, fruit
drinks, soda etc, fountain drinks with ice and soda and a complete coffee offering. There
are no gas appliances used at Sandella's and there is no cooking that will involve grease
laden air therefore no hoods have been specified for this venue.
The Convenience store is a typical convenience store offering cold beverages, frozen
items, dry goods, personal items etc. It also has a coffee offering but it is not full service
like Sandellas.
The drawings submitted include K drawings that provide information on kitchen layout,
kitchen equipment, code review and typical architectural finishes and details, as well as
the associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression engineering
drawings.
