CLI-2014-0269 1 of 5 • Installed 18 concrete king piles and 17 concrete batter piles. • All other work as per final approved plans. B. MITIGATION STATUS: • Due to United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACOE) restrictions only one bead of riprap was placed along the waterward base of the new seawall. • The permittee posted a $14,490.00 mitigation bond equivalent to the amount of riprap required to be deployed on-site III. NOTES/RECOMMEN DATIONSr'` . 1 ' The USACOE restricted the placement of riprap to only one bead of rock along the waterward base of the new seawall. According to the submitted weight tickets submitted by the contractor, approximately 87.99 tons (65.17 cubic yards) of the required 217.35 tons (161 cubic yards) of riprap boulders were placed on-site. Therefore, I recommend l�r releasing $5,865.30 of the mitigation bond being held in the amount of $14,490.00 and �� accept a contribution to the BBEETF in the amount of $8,624.70. Furthermore, the authorized structures have been installed in substantial compliance with the above referenced Class I permit. Recommend closure of the file. See attached photo card. He is trying to close out his permit with The Village of Miami Shores and needs to show proof of DERMS final permit. Unfortunately he remained in a standstill between Army Corp and DERM's review, where they were waiting on a Biological Assessment to be completed to see and review how many Rip Rap boulders were to be placed. This Biological Assessment was prolonged due to the influx of work and scheduling by the County and was finally completed and the determination was made just the other day on Dec. 7, 2015. Could you please contact and explain to The Village of Miami Shores that Mr. Puren was at a standstill. I'm including the email address of the building official that needs this information.
