Response: Only the existing flat roof portion of the existing residence is being replaced by
a new pitched roof. The altered existing flat roof area, including the garage and shed
representsapprorx 5`0%oo of the existing total interior house floor area. The existing sloped
roof portion of the residence is staying completely intact. We are not removing any of the
structural members in the sloped roof area. In addition, the new pitched roof area will piggy
back over less than 10% of the existing pitched roof. We are also adding approximately 90
s.f. to the rear of the house and a covered roof patio area in the courtyard.
