Gentlemen:
I, Pavel Gonzalez, P.E., hereby indicate that I have inspected, reviewed and approved
the following conditions. The inspection was performed on Saturday September 6, 2014
at 10:00 AM.
1. The existing condition with the ceiling rafter and the new wood stud partition in the
bathroom is acceptable. However we recommend to add one tie connector at each
ceiling rafter to the new stud wall. Use tie H3 by Simpson or similar. The existing
partition that was demolished in the bathroom provided support to ceiling rafters, the
new partition is at 3 feet from its original position and provides adequate support but
the end of the ceiling rafter is in cantilever.
2. The installation of the Garage Lateral Door (NOA 13-0328.11) was found acceptable.
Fasteners and wood buck installation meet the structural loading requirements. The
wood bucks consist of one 2x6 fastened to the existing CMU framing with 1/4"
diameter tapcons @ 8" on center, 2" minimum embedment into CMU, and a
secondary l x6 (at sides) 2x6 (at top) fastened with 1/4" diameter tapcons @ 16" on
center, 1--1/2" minimum embedment into CMU. The door frame was fastened as
indicated in the NOA but with longer tapcons to meet the embedment requirements.

3. The wood bucks for the windows (NOA 12-0127.08 and NOA 12-0307.06) were
found in accordance with the NOA requirements, except for some places where
additional lx were installed to meet the size of the windows. All conditions were
found structurally adequate.
