On May 14, 2014, the exterior, interior and attic space of the residence were inspected, and it was noticed that the existing roof framing system was constructed with pre- fabricated wood roof trusses; which were supported on the exterior front (west) CMU block wall and the exterior rear (east) CMU block wall. The inspection revealed that the interior walls around the kitchen area between the garage and the south master bedroom are not load -carrying; thus, they can be removed without causing any change in the load path of the existing structure.
