Scope: The purpose of this report is to substitute the components for the subject products and to determine if these constructions perform equal to or better than those tested. The components tested In the assembly as described in test report CTLA697W will be substituted as follows: 1) The Pemko threshold measuring 4.041" x 1" will be replaced by the Endura threshold (FOB4566A) measuring 4.560" x 0.962 ", as tested in NCTL 210 - 3195 -1. 2) The extruded aluminum astragal by Imperial, with 5/16" dia. throw bolts at top & bottom will be replaced by the Endura "Ultimate Hurricane" extruded aluminum astragal, with 5%16" dia. throw bolts at top & bottom, as tested in NCTL 210- 3195 -1. Analysis and Findings: The construction and assembly of the test specimens, as described in test reports CTLA697W and NCTL 210- 3195-1 have been evaluated. The door frame and panel construction between both test reports have been deemed structurally equivalent with the only major structural differences between the operable door assemblies being the threshold and astragal components. The desired Endura threshold and astragals were tested on the "worst- case" test specimens which utilized a slightly thinner gauge bottom rail construction and smaller wood lock box reinforcement in the stiles. Differences in glazing options have been verified with ASTM E1300 -04; the Endura components were tested with the "worst case" glazing for static loading, see appendix for ASTM E1300 -04 results.
