My name is Melissa Georgianna I am the property manager for Shores Villas.
I am writing to inform the building dept that the above permit needs to be closed out.
The roofs were never replaced. The company hired to do the work was terminated by
Shores Villas shortly after they pulled the permit and the roofs to be replaced were
never replaced.
After speaking with the building department yesterday I was advied to write a letter
asking that this permit be closed.
We have hired another Roofing Company and they are in the process of pulling permits
to replace roofs as needed in this community.

Dear Miami Shores Village Building Department,
I wish to cancel the building permit #Demo -4 -11 -673 which had been applied for on April 15, 2011.
We had applied for the permit because we had wanted to remove the driveway strips on our property,
which are old and crumbling. We had intended to rely on the semi - circular driveway that exists in the
swale in the front of our property as our driveway.
After submitting the application, we were advised that the Miami Shores Code requires the property of
single family home to be able to accommodate two vehicles on the property and that we could not
rely on the semi - circular driveway in the swale to meet that code requirement. We realized that we
could not remove the driveway strips and be in compliance with the
Code, so we did not pursue the permit any further and did not perform the demolition.
