SHOW HOW 4 X 12 WOOD BEAM WILL BE ANCHORED AT NEW WALL - BUCKET? WHAT WILL PREVENT THIS BEAM FROM RACKING OVER BETWEEN END SUPPORTS? Response: The 4 x 12 wood beam will have a bucket type connection at the rake beam side. The connection shown as Detail `A' was revised to show the missing information for the connectors to be used. At the opposite support end it is connected as per Detail 5/S1 with a steel angle. Both connections are designed to resist over turning of the beam. 2. NEW CONCRETE GABLE END NEEDS TO BE DOWELED TO EXISTING CONCRETE BEAM - SHOW ON SEC. 1/S1.
