When applying the membrane in the valley, start at the low point and work to the high point, rolling the membrane from the center outward in both directions. 5. For ridge applications, center the membrane and roll from the center outward in both directions. 6. Roll or broom the entire membrane surface so as to have full contact with the surface, giving special attention to lap areas. 7. Flash vent pipes, stacks, chimneys and penetrations in compliance with Roof Assembly current Product Control Notice of Acceptance. 8. All protrusions or drains shall be initially taped with a 6" piece of underlayment. The flashing tape shall be pressed in place and formed around the protrusion to ensure a tight fit. A second layer of Polystick shall be applied over the underlayment. Revised on 5!21/2009 SECTION R4402.13 HIGH VELOCITY HURRICANE ZONES — REQUIRED OWNERS NOTIFICATION FOR ROOFING CONSIDERATIONS R4402.13.1 Scope. As it pertains to the section, it is the responsibility of roofing contractor to provide the owner with the required roofing permit, and to explain to the owner the content of the section. The provisions of Section R4402 govem the minimum requirements and standards of the industry for roofing system installations. Additionally, the following items should be addressed as part of the agreement between the owner ant the contractor.
