In accordance with your authorization, Federal Engineering & Testing has performed Tile
Uplift Testing in compliance with Testing Application Standards TAS -106 and the Florida
Building Code High Velocity Hurricane Zone on April 9, 2009 at the above referenced
project.
The purpose of our inspection was to determine the uplift capacity of the roof tiles for the
residence at the above referenced project. The subject roof consisted of S- Shaped
Concrete Tile Foam Set. The pitch of the subject roof is 4/12.
Our field engineer visited the site and conducted 57 uplift tests on the roof tiles. All tests
were performed according to the Florida Building Code High Velocity Hurricane Zone
and protocol TAS -106 using an Intercomp Scale Model CS200. The following is a

All test results were found to be in compliance with TAS -106 and the Florida Building
Code.
The test results are limited to the tested areas. If other roof areas exhibit different
conditions, it should be brought to our attention for remedial work. This uplift test is not
a roof top inspection. A final roof inspection must be conducted by the building official
for approval.
The test results presented reflect the condition of the roof system at the time of the test.
These results are time and sample dependent since roof conditions are continuously
changing due to exposure to the elements.
Federal Engineering & Testing is an independent third party providing un- biased testing
information and results. Federal Engineering & Testing is a third party and is not affiliated
with our client nor do we have any financial interest in the project or determination of the
test results.
As mutual protection to clients, the public and ourselves, all reports are submitted as the

.Common roofs: Common roofs are those which have no visible delineation between neighboring
(i.e. townhouses, condominiums, ECT.). In buildings with conunon roofs, the roofing contractor

4.Exposed Ceilings: Exposed, open beam ceilings are where the underside of the roof decking can
viewed from below. The owner may wish to maintain the architectural appearance; therefore, the roofing
nail penetrations of the underside of the decking may not be acceptable. The code provides the option of
g this appearance. .
5. Ponding Water: The current roof system and/or deck of the building may not drain well and may
water to pond (accumulate) in low -lying areas of the roof. Ponding can be an indication of structural
and may require the review of a structural engineer. Ponding may shorten the life expectancy and
performance of the new roofing system. Ponding conditions may not be evident until the original roofing
stem removed. Ponding conditions should be corrected.
6. Overflow Scuppers (Wall Outlets): It is required that rainwater flows off so that the roof is not
erloaded from a build up of water. Perimeter /edge walls or other roof extensions may block this
discharge if overflow scuppers (wall outlets) are not provided. It may be necessary to install overflow
uppers in accordance with the requirements of section R4402, 4403 and 4413.
7. Ventilation: Most roof structures should have some ability to vent natural air flow through the
'or of the structural assembly (the building itself). The existing amount of attic ventilation may not be
reduced. It may be beneficial to consider additional venting which can result in extending the service life of
the roof.

RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no
change in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there bas been a revision or change in the
materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any
product, for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply
with any section of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Nfiami Dade County, Florida, and followed by

INSTALLATION:
1. Polypro® AH160 may be used with any roof tile assembly having a current NOA that lists uplift
resistance values with the use of Polypro® AH160.
2. Polypro® AH160 shall be applied in compliance with the Component Application section and the
corresponding Placement Details noted herein. The roof tile assembly's adhesive attachment with
the use of Polypro® AH160 shall provide sufficient attachment resistance, expressed as an uplift
based system, to meet or exceed the uplift resistance determined in compliance with Miami Dade
County Roofing Application Standards RAS 127. The adhesive attachment data is noted in the roof
tile assembly NOA
