Fire classification is not part of this acceptance. 2. This acceptance is for prepared roofing applications. Minimum deck requirements shall be in compliance with applicable building code. UnderRoof Tile Underlayment shall be installed in strict compliance with applicable Building Code. 3. UnderRoof Tile Underlayment shall be applied to a smooth, clean and dry surface with deck free of irregularities. 4. UnderRoof Tile Underlayment shall not be applied over an existing roof membrane. 5. UnderRoof Tile Underlayment shall not be left exposed as a temporary roof for longer than 180 days of application. 6. The standard maximum roof pitch for UnderRoof Tile Underlayment shall be 6:12 for all tile profiles directly to roof deck. Roof slope of 7:12 or greater shall be installed with battens and approved tiles with integral batten lugs. 7. Re- fasten any loose decking panels, and carefully checked for protruding nail heads. Sweep the deck thoroughly to remove any dust and debris prior to application. 11. When applying the membrane in the valley, start at the low point and work to the high point, rolling the membrane from the center outward in both directions. For ridge applications, center the • membrane and roll from the center outward in both directions. 12. Roll or broom the entire membrane surface so as to have 100% contact with the surface, giving special attention to overlap areas. 13. Flash vent pipes, stacks, chimneys and penetrations in compliance with Roof Assembly current Product Control Notice of Acceptance and applicable Building Code. 14. All protrusions or drains shall be initially taped with a 6" piece of underlayment. The flashing tape shall be pressed in place and formed around the protrusion to ensure a tight fit. A second layer of UnderRoof Tile Underlayment shall be applied over the underlayment. 15. All membranes shall bear the imprint or identifiable marking of the manufacturer's name or logo, or following statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved" or the Miami -Dade logo. 16. This testing was performed in general accordance with Roofing Application Standard TAS No.106 -- Standard procedure for field verification ofthe bonding of mortar or adhesive set tile system and mechanically attached, rigid, discontinuous roof systems. The total of the tested roof surface area was less than 10000 square feet, and the mean height of the roof is less than 40 feet above ground surface. The type of tile used for this project was reported to be Hanson Regal Roof Tile. This tile was reported to have been foamed in place. At the time of our inspection, the entire area ofthe roof was examined for loose tiles. Not less than one (1) tile in ten (10) of all components in the field area and one (1) tile in five (5) of all tiles in the perimeter and comer areas were physically examined. A minimum of one (1) test per every two (2) squares in the field, one (1) test per square in the perimeter area, ridge caps and (1) in the comer areas were conducted. Based on our test results, we conclude that the installation of the roof tile the above referenced: project meets the test requirement outlined in the above - mentioned protocol. In accordance with Hurricane Mitigation Retrofits for Existing Site -Built Single Family Residential Structure section 553.844 Florida Statutes, the intersection of roof framing with the wall shall be strengthened by adding metal connectors, clips, straps and fasteners. Based on our field observations, the existing hurricane straps were not in compliance with the requirements of the Florida Building Commission Hurricane Mitigation Retrofit Manual and Florida Statute 553.844. We recommend that the strapping be repaired as per the requirement in section 201.3.2 Prescriptive method for gable roofs on a masonry wall of the Hurricane Mitigation retrofits for existing Site -Built Single Family Residential Structures. Additional 16d nails may be added to the existing straps (Total number of fastener shall be not less than 4) provided that the strap is manufactured to accommodate at least 4 fasteners at each end.
