Atkins Engineers has performed a visual structural observation of the building referenced
above. The building is one -story structure with masonry walls at exterior sides supporting
pre -cast Double Tee Roof System and conventional built -Up Roofing. The floor is a concrete
slab on grade.
Based on our observations, the building appears to be in fair conditions.
We are enclosing three copies of the Minimum Inspection Procedural Guidelines For
Building's Structural Rcertification and Photographs on the above mentioned property.
The comments and statements herein are to the best of my knowledge and refer to the

This inspection walk- through with Mr. Peter Koerber, President of Prestige Builders
Corp and SAL Electric Contractors Corp. was performed at the request of Mr. Ralph
Martin, Executor for the Estate of Albert Marsico, Jr., to review the work performed to
make repairs as shown on the 40 -Year Electrical Recertification Report.
During today's inspection, we found the following:
1. Items 1 through 4 of our December 21, 2010 report have been completed
satisfactorily.
2. Item 5, UL listed and approved fire stopping has been completed, however, it
must be inspected and approved by the Building Department's inspector. Please
provide copies of approval by this inspector and document the UL listed method
and materials used for this work.
3. The parking lot lighting foot candle level measurements cannot be performed
until the trees are trimmed to the extent that they will not obstruct the path of the
light to the surface of the parking lot. This is in accordance with Miami -Dade
County Ordinance Chapter 8C -3. Please advise when this has been done to

During the inspection, we found the following deficiencies that must be corrected:
1. The grounding electrode conductor is routed to the exterior of the building
through a PVC conduit sleeve through the wall. The slope of the installed conduit
will allow water to enter into the building and also to corrode the ground
connections. Please correct this installation to prevent water entering the building
or accumulating on ground connections.
2. There are 2 auxiliary gutters in the electrical room:
A. One of the gutters is labeled as "LINE GUTTER ". This gutter contains the
feeder for the North tenant space of the building. Please add a label with

Paragraph2, sub -item 6 of the 40 -Year Electrical Recertification Report that reads

SOUTH TENANT SPACE LOCATED INSIDE THIS ELECTRIC ROOM ".
5. Provide UL listed and approved fire- stopping between the north and south tenant
spaces inside the storage room located to the north of the electric room. Have fire -
stopping inspected and approved by the Building Department.
