It shall be nailed on approximately 5 inch oenters along edges with 3d 1 1/8" 13 ga. 3/8 "- heads blued lathing nails, with a minimum bearing of 5/8" on each stud and all joints staggered, Vertical joints on Apposite sides of partitions shall be staggered and not ocouZ on opposite aides of same studs. Ill interior corners shall have metal lath extending at least 3" on each side of the oorner. All plastering shall be two -coat work. The scratch coat shall be of gypsum plaster applied with sufficient pressure to obtain a full key and shall be brought out to the grounds and straightened to a true surface with rod and derby. The finish coat shall be oomposed of one part gauging plaster and three parts lime putty and shall be applied over a dry base coat, scratched in thoroly and laid on well, and then doubled beck and filled out to an even surface. This shall be allowed to draw for a few minutes and; then shall be well troweled to a smooth surface.' Texture, as selected by ,the owner, shall then be applied. Color shall be added to the finish coat as selected by the owner. All stuoco shall be applied in two coats, The first coat shall be composed of one part Portland Cement and three parts sand with the addition of part of lime putty. This shall be well rodded and brought to a true and even surface ready for the finish goat. The final boat shall be composed of one part Portland Cement and three parts sand and shall be mixed with an integral waterproofing. This shall be brought to a true and even surface and floated with a cork float. Care shall be taken to float out all shrinkage cracks, blisters, and other imperfections TAX ., ENTRY STOOP op STEPS - This shall .6 "c6w_ flame .tinted' quarry tile in full color range * TH - This shall be of 4 "x6" flame tinted quarry tile of medium colors. The drain and splash surfaces shall be of 6"x6" semi - v reous t in pastel shades. BATH - The floor shall be of 3" hexagon semi - vitreous floor tile with spotting. Walls shall be of 4"x4" glazed semi - vitreous wall tilea with black cove base and capping. Wainscote shall be 4 *.high except around tub where it is 6' 'high. All tile shall be set in a 1 /2" setting bed on a thoroly cleaned 2" concrete slab. WINDQW STpOLS - All window stools shall be of 8 "x6" bull nosed semi- vitreous tiles! PAINTING Stucco shall have 1 coat of standard lime wash with waterproofing and color added. exterior Woodwork shall have 3 coats of standard house paint, Kitchen and Bath plastered surfaces shall have 3 coats finishing with Semi - Luster. Other walls shall have 3 coats plus 1 ooat of glazing. Interior woodwork shall have 3 coats finishing with an Enameloid. Steel sash shall have 1 coat of metal enamel. Exoept for the lime wash, all paint mast be delivered to the job in original unopened packages and handled according to the manufaoturerts directions. All surfaces shall be thoroly dry and clean before the prime ooat is applied and all defeots and nail holes shall be puttied after the prime coat . a nd before the seoond coat is A. Paul Young Page Three applied. Any rusty spots on the steel sash shall be cleaned with steel wool and primed before being given -the finish eat. All windows shall be Residence yper Casements, the combined weight of frame and vent members of which shall be not less than 2 pounds per lineal foot, and shall come with 1 coat of gray rust - resisting paint. Hardware shall include standard thru seotion locking handle and rotary under - screen type operators. Screens shall be of a flat type applied inside of window frame„ Screen frames shall be galvanized and designed to allow replacement of screen cloth which shall be 16 mesh bronze. They shall have l shop coat of paint same as windows. Screens shall be easily removed from window frames and as easily replaoed. SOLAR WATER TER SYSTEM This shall include a heater system together with a storage system. The heater shall be an all metal unit of not less than 24 gauge galvanized iron built on e. structural frame to prevent. sag. Coil tubes shall be not less than 3/4" inside diameter anneal id copper; and shall be soldered continuously to the copper backing. Cover shall be of DS glass secured in place to preclude any leaks of rain Water from entering the ooil bolt. Storage system shall include a heavy duty, electric welded, galvanized both inside and out tank tested to .150 pounds hydrostatio pressure.
