6UARANTEE. This Contractor shall guarantee all roofs and +lashings to
be Atertipht and perfect for a period of two years, and shall make good

TuNCHN All +lashings, counter - +lashings, and all other sheet
metal work, wherever specified or where usual or necessary to make the
work water-tight, shall be 16-6z. toucan metal.
FLASH1NGS. All vertical masonry walls extending above roofs shall have
step flashing not less than 6" high and cobnter- flashing extending into
wails. The loser edge of counter - flashing shall be kept 3" above roof,
GUSSETS. Gussets, iherever required, shall be covered with the same
material as specified for flashing.
Rt,.OFING FELT. Under all t le roofs lay 2 thicknesses of heavy tarred
felt, weighing 30 and 15 pounds per 100 sq.ft. each. This shall be Of
on horizontally and :ell lapped. This felt shall be carried across all
hips, shall be doubled under all valleys and lapped over them for 4" and
under all (lashings at least 6."
TILE RLUF$. Cover all roofs with 9" by 15" "Nalco" light range shingle
tile. Tile shall be set in cement mortar :rich butts pointed, as directed
by the Architect. Tile shall match sample in office of Architect.
VENT SCREENS. Provide and install fhrougheut on the inside 1/4" mesh
galvanized iron screens for ventilating vents at grade.
LUVRE PANS. Shall be of 16 oz. toncan metal.
C A R P E N T R Y
GENERAL. The Contractor shall furnish all rough or dressed lumber and
alt nlwork. Unless otherwise specified, he shall furnish and se+ all
centers, forms, tempiatc6, bracing, etc., required for the masonry work.
These centers shall be 'ell stiffened and strong enough to carry the
weights they support without deformation. They must be accurately formed
to the required shapes and must be left in place until ordered removed by
the Architect.
He shall provide all necessary wood blocks, nailing strips, plugs, doors
and dingo w bucks, etc., and see that they are built in as required by
other Contractors for their work, as the work progresses.

PLASTER PATCHING, ETC. All plaster patching and g.l_ass breakage caused
by this contractorinw the installation of i is work shall be made good
and paid for by this contractor. The balance of plaster patching and
glass breakage shall be paie for by others.
GLAZiNG
GENERAL. All glass set in woodwork shall be firmly bedded in the best
oil and white lead putty, and after stops are in place shall be neatly
puttied. mll glass Ind doors shall be properly bedded in putty and
secured by wood moulds supplied by the carpenter. No glass shall be put
in place unt i I after the woodwork is primed.
All class shall be free from waves, or other imperfections. At the com-
pletion of the building, all Mass shall be cleaned and polished; all
broken glass must be repbbced. All glass set in steel sash shall be firmly
bedded in the best approved special putty, reccommenddd by the manufacture
er of the sash, -roperly clipped, aad then puttied. Protect putty until
it has properly set. No uneven work w i l l be accelbted.
GLASS SIZES.AII sizes for giassi shall be taken from the actual frames,
Tors 77U sash. This contract contemplates all glass to be set in place
and this contractor to assume all responsibility in regard to correct
sized, Sizes marked on drawings •xxsppxe*t*xkx are approximate and shall
be used for estimating only.
