Ms. Correa said she wants to fire Jose Gonzalez who was the GC under this permit because the
work has taken over a year and she is not happy. The last plumbing inspection was last week. I
told her the procedure about sending a certified letter to the contractor as well as the Hold
Harmless form. She said it might also need an electrical inspection.
She wants to know what she should do after she has sent the letter She wants to also convert her
garage into a laundry room and hobby room. She wants to know if she can pull another permit to
do this work as an owner- builder or does she have to pick another contractor. She also wants to
build the wood deck which is covered under the permit application. She said if she pulls an
owner - builder permit she will use contractors who are licensed.
She seems very confused and wants to discuss everything with you. Best place to reach her is her
beeper and she will call right back.
