Prescnptrees are giver by the type of glass (Single a Double pane) and the overhang i0H) paired with a solar heat gain meff+cient (SHGC) For a giver glass'ype and overhang, the minimum solar heat gain coefficient allowed is specified. Actual glass windows and doors previously in the exterior walls of the house and being reinstalled in the addition do not have tc cor Cur with he overhang and solar heat gain coefficient requirements on Table 5G2 All new glass in the additon must meet the requirement la one of the options it the glass percentage category you indicated The overhang !O A) distarce s measured perpendicularly from the face d the glass to a pod directly under the outermost edge of the overhang. 3 RENOVATIONS ONLY Replacement glass reeds h mePt the [allowing equrements Any lass type and solar heat gain coefficient may be used for glass areas which are under at east a two tool overhang and whose lowest edoe y does not extend further than 8 feet from the overhang Glass areas being renovated that do not meet 'his criteria must be either single -pane tinted, double -pane clear Of double -pane' anted 4 BUILDING SYSTEMS Comply when new systems installed la system irsailed 5 Complete the information requested on the top hall of page 1 6 Read 'Minimum Requirements la Small Additions and Renovations ".
