Each opening in your home is listed below with a description of any issues found. JELD -WEN will offer to provide replacement product for openings noted below. Please note however, that our Inspector was unable to get product measurement on unit 2.05 due to interior shutters and no exterior access, thus was unable to determine correct product to order. JELD -WEN will provide replacement sash if correct product size can be provided. Labor to install is not included in this offer. If requested, JELD -WEN can provide the name of an independent service provider knowledgeable in the replacement of your JELD -WEN product. Our inspector noted several units with missing lock arms and stops. These parts are included with every unit sold. Typically you would need to contact your installer or distributor to request they complete the installation of the product you purchased. As a courtesy, JELD -WEN will provide on a one time basis the missing parts as noted below. OTHER ISSUES: During our inspection, 'other issues" were identified, not covered by our warranty, which may affect the performance of your windows. These "other issues" are described here and noted at the specific opening. Installation Issues: Units identified in this Repair Recap appear to be installed incorrectly and could be a source of water intrusion into your home. Specifically our inspector noted several units with separated frame comers. Care and Maintenance Issues: The units identified in this Repair Recap have not been appropriately maintained. Specifically, our inspector found a lack of adequate paint film on the full perimeter of some units. Lack of paint does not provide wood protection from moisture and can be a source of fungal infestation (wood rot). Future warranty claims may be denied if it is determined a lack of paint is the cause. Informational material on care and maintenance of your JELD -WEN product will be sent under separate cover for your review.
