Since the existing straps were noted to be too short and additional fasteners may not be added, we propose new United Steel Products Company SGP2 straps with NOA No. 08- 0111.09 be used. This strap shall be connected to the concrete tie beam using approved 1 /2" diameter anchor bolts that will provide at least a 2 -1/2 inch embedment into the concrete and nailed to the roof trusses /rafters with ten 10d nails which will provide an allowable uplift load of 15801b -f.
