DESCRIPTION: Extruded aluminum framed, mill finish, awning window
incorporating six ventilators with nominal 3/16" thick annealed glass.
CORNER CONSTRUCTION: Framed -coped and screw assembled with two #8 by
3/4" long plated steel Type A thread forming screws per corner.
Ventilator -coped and stake assembled corners.
SEALANTS: A urethane sealant is used for the perimeter seals.
An acrylic small joint sealant is used for the frame and glazing seals.
WEATHERSTRTP: A slide -in, bulb - shaped thermoplastic.
HARDWARE: One roto operator operating the six ventilators is located at
the bottom of the right jamb (as viewed from the exterior). The operator
attachment screws are #10 by 1/2" long plated steel thread forming screws
(three total).

DRAINAGE; Water collecting in the sill drains out through the space
between the bottom ventilator and the sill.
The unit shall be in substantial conformance with drawing titled "Awning
Type Window Series 7000" revised 7 -16 -91 and stamped by CRL and with the
following additions:
"The window corners are continuously bedded in sealant which joined with
the frame weatherstrip and the perimeter sealant.
The frame screw penetrations are all sealed.
The roto operator and the operator closure plate is continuously bedded
in sealant and the screws are sealed.
The sill weatherstrip crimping is sealed at the interior.

by 3/8" high by 1" long, closed cell foam pad in groove at bottom of
frame sill, located under each vent meeting rail. One 1 1/8" by 1 1/4"
by 1/4" thick closed cell foam pad closure at bottom of each vent meeting
rail; an aluminum backing plate installed over pad, closure secured to
meeting rail with one screw per closure.
OPERATORS & LOCATIONS: One metllic cam lock, 6 1/2" from each end of
each vent meeting rail except for F.E.R. unit was tested also with only
one lock at midspan at each vent meeting rail. One plastic roller in
each end of each vent bottom rail.
GLAZING MATERIAL: 3/16" tempered glass.
GLAZING METHOD; Interior glazed using adhesive bedding compound and
extruded aluminum snap -in glazing bead.
